REVIEW PROCESS

The journal publishes theoretical and methodological manuscripts corresponding to the profile of the journal. All manuscripts are screened by the editorial office to assess their match to a particular journal’s aims. Those deemed to be unsuitable for a particular journal may be rejected by the executive secretary.

The editorial board supports the world standards for the transparency of the peer review process, therefore, it practices a double anonymous review of manuscripts: the author and the reviewer are not informed of each other’s names. Previously, all their personal data is removed from the text of articles and file properties.
Articles submitted to the journal are thoroughly reviewed by two independent reviewers before they get published. Reviewers look through the abstract of the article and then they make a decision about reviewing the article or its rejection. In case of rejection of the article - other reviewers are appointed.

The reviewers review the submission and evaluate its scientific level in accordance with the “Review Form”, where their comments are indicated. Additionally, experts can download files with a revised manuscript or submission that can be used to refine the article.

The deadlines for processing the manuscript are:

  • up to 3 working days - initial evaluation of the manuscript (acceptance/rejection);
  • up to 30 working days - review and conclusion of the reviewer (or the decision of the editorial board) on the feasibility and possibility of publishing the article.

After filling in the main review form, reviewers choose one of the suggested recommendations:
 the article can be accepted in its current form
 the article can be accepted after minor wording
 the article can be accepted after taking into account significant changes
 the article can be accepted after full editing and re-review
 the article cannot be recommended for publication in the journal.

After completing the peer review process, all relevant information is sent to the author. The author finalizes the manuscript and uploads a new version to the journal system. If the manuscript has not been returned to the editors, or the editors have not been notified of the reasons for the delay, it is removed from the queue and deleted.

The reviewed manuscript is reviewed again by reviewer and recommendations are given on the possibility of its further publication.
