Keywords: ballet creativity of Maxim Shalygin, iurodstvo, intertextuality, genre-intonation specifics.

Abstract

M. Shalygin's ballet «Traces» is studied for the first time in the article through the prism of the semantics of iurodstvo. The methods of the author's work with the symbolism of iurodstvo are determined, which is manifested both at the genre-intonation level (lamentation, allusion to cult melodies, appeal to the system of folk children's genres) and at the level of intertextual connections: in titles, dedications, text allusions.
