Четвертий день навчального візиту в межах проєкту AMUSE став потужним джерелом натхнення та насиченим взаємодіями.
Зранку делегація українських учасників проєкту розділилася на дві групи, аби відвідати спеціалізовані освітні заклади в Амстердамі: Drostenburg School, що функціонує як комплексний дитячий центр та школа для дітей із фізичними й множинними порушеннями, а також Koetsveld School, спеціальну початкову школу, яка створює підтримуюче та інклюзивне освітнє середовище.
Команда Рівненського державного гуманітарного університету мала змогу відвідати Bijzonder Amsterdams — соціальне підприємство мережі Cordaan, де працюють люди з особливими потребами. Там вони дізналися більше про практичне використання інклюзивної освіти та методів AAC (альтернативної та додаткової комунікації). Атмосферу під час презентації доповнив обід, приготований та поданий з особливою щирістю і турботою.
День продовжився інклюзивною прогулянкою Амстердамом, яка дозволила по-іншому оцінити доступність і рівність у міському просторі. Деякі учасники додатково відвідали інші соціальні ініціативи Cordaan.
Увечері група повернулася до Утрехта. У стінах Hogeschool Utrecht — Університету прикладних наук — відбулася урочиста церемонія вручення сертифікатів, супроводжена фінальними виступами професорок Саскії Вейсбрук та Софі Серджент.
Завершенням дня стало неформальне спілкування за частуванням.
Ще один насичений день міжнародної співпраці, обміну цінним досвідом і втілення рішучих кроків у побудові більш інклюзивного освітнього середовища як в Україні, так і в Європі!

The fourth day of the AMUSE Erasmus+ project study visit was a powerful source of inspiration and rich in interactions.
In the morning, the delegation of Ukrainian project participants split into two groups to visit specialized educational institutions in Amsterdam: Drostenburg School, which functions as a comprehensive children's center and school for children with physical and multiple disabilities, and Koetsveld School, a special primary school that creates a supportive and inclusive educational environment.
Rivne State University of Humanities team had the opportunity to visit Bijzonder Amsterdams, a social enterprise of the Cordaan network, where people with special needs work. There, they learned more about the practical use of inclusive education and AAC (alternative and augmentative communication) methods. The atmosphere during the presentation was complemented by a lunch prepared and served with special sincerity and care.
The day continued with an inclusive walk through Amsterdam, which allowed participants to assess accessibility and equality in urban space in a different way. Some participants also visited other Cordaan social initiatives.
In the evening, the group returned to Utrecht. A solemn certificate award ceremony was held at Hogeschool Utrecht, the University of Applied Sciences, accompanied by final speeches by professors Saskia Weesbroek and Sophie Sargent.
The day ended in a relaxed atmosphere, with friends socializing over drinks and delicious snacks.
Another eventful day of international cooperation, exchange of valuable experience, and implementation of decisive steps in building a more inclusive educational environment both in Ukraine and in Europe!

1 жовтня у межах реалізації проєкту AMUSE Erasmus+ та візиту делегації Рівненського державного гуманітарного університету до Нідерландів Hogeschool Utrecht – Університетом прикладних наук (Нідерланди) було організовано міжнародний симпозіум на тему «Інклюзія в освіті з акцентом на використання допоміжних та альтернативних засобів комунікації (АДК)». Під час заходу провідні фахівці представили сучасні дослідження та практичні приклади інтеграції АДК у освітнє середовище, що відповідає принципам інклюзії.
Головною метою симпозіуму було продемонструвати, як допоміжна та альтернативна комунікація сприяє подоланню бар’єрів у спілкуванні та навчанні для дітей із порушеннями мовлення. Завдяки цьому інструменту формуються нові можливості для розкриття їхнього потенціалу.
Організацію заходу очолили Sofie Sergeant і Hanne Touw, які забезпечили створення атмосфери відкритого діалогу, взаємообміну ідеями та глибшого осмислення ролі АДК у створенні доступного і комфортного освітнього середовища. До ключової доповіді доктора Еллен Геррітс мали змогу онлайн доєднатися усі члени команди Рівненського державного гуманітарного університету з реалізації проєкту «Комплексне запровадження методології доповненої та альтернативної комунікації в українській системі освіти» (AMUSE).
Симпозіум об’єднав освітян із різних країн світу, які поділяють спільну мету – зробити освіту доступною для кожної дитини незалежно від її особливостей.

On 1 October, as part of the AMUSE Erasmus+ project and the visit of a delegation from Rivne State Humanitarian University to the Netherlands, Hogeschool Utrecht University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands), an international symposium was organised on the topic of ‘Inclusion in education with a focus on the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC)’. During the event, leading experts presented current research and practical examples of integrating AAC into an educational environment that complies with the principles of inclusion.
The main goal of the symposium was to demonstrate how augmentative and alternative communication helps overcome barriers in communication and learning for children with speech impairments. This tool creates new opportunities for them to realise their potential.
The event was organised by Sofie Sergeant and Hanne Touw, who ensured an atmosphere of open dialogue, mutual exchange of ideas and a deeper understanding of the role of AAC in creating an accessible and comfortable educational environment. Representatives of the team of Rivne State University of Humanities implementing the project “Comprehensive Implementation of Augmented and Alternative Communication Methodology in the Ukrainian Education System” (AMUSE) were able to join Dr Ellen Gerrits' keynote speech online.
The symposium brought together educators from around the world who share a common goal: to make education accessible to every child, regardless of their individual characteristics.

25 вересня 2025 року відбулася робоча експертна зустріч українських партнерів проєкту AMUSE, під час якої особливу увагу було приділено обговоренню концепції та змісту майбутнього посібника з АДК для дошкільнят. Участь у полеміці брали й члени команди Рівненського державного гуманітарного університету з реалізації проєкту «Комплексне запровадження методології доповненої та альтернативної комунікації в українській системі освіти» (AMUSE)
Учасники долучилися до змістовної дискусії, що розгорнулася навколо ключових підходів до викладу навчального матеріалу. В обговоренні панувала жвава та конструктивна атмосфера, яка сприяла генерації нових ідей та рішень.
Окремим блоком зустрічі стала презентація макетів сторінок, розроблених до теми «Вода». Учасники мали змогу ознайомитися з візуальним та змістовим оформленням матеріалу, поділитися враженнями та надати зворотний зв’язок.
Зустріч стала важливим кроком у спільній роботі над створенням сучасного та змістовного навчального ресурсу, який відповідатиме потребам як учнів, так і педагогів.

On 25 September 2025, a working expert meeting of Ukrainian partners of the AMUSE project took place, during which special attention was paid to discussing the concept and content of the future AAC manual for preschoolers. Members of the Rivne State University of Humanities team implementing the project ‘Comprehensive introduction of augmented and alternative communication methodology in the Ukrainian education system’ (AMUSE) also took part in the discussion.
The participants joined in a substantive discussion that unfolded around key approaches to presenting educational material. The discussion was dominated by a lively and constructive atmosphere, which contributed to the generation of new ideas and solutions.
A separate part of the meeting was devoted to the presentation of page layouts developed for the topic ‘Water’. Participants had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the visual and content design of the material, share their impressions and provide feedback.
The meeting was an important step in the joint work on creating a modern and meaningful educational resource that will meet the needs of both students and teachers.

Другий день навчального візиту до Нідерландів відбувся у початковій школі Imelda, Роттердам, під керівництвом Софі Сержант та Ганни Тау.
Ранок розпочався з кави та чаю, після чого учасники активно долучилися до симпозіуму, який проводився в школі Imelda Rotterdam. Захід складався з кількох ключових етапів, зокрема інформативної лекції, що охоплювала актуальні теми, а також жвавих і змістовних дебатів, під час яких обговорювалися різноманітні ідеї та точки зору.
Після спільного обіду відбулася екскурсія школою. Два директори – Андреа Морет (Willibrordschool) та Міран Якірович (Imeldaschool) – представили свої підходи та бачення освітнього процесу. Представники Рівненського державного гуманітарного університету активно долучалися до дискусій, обмінювалися досвідом та демонстрували інтерес до інноваційних інклюзивних практик голландської початкової освіти.
Завершився день самостійною прогулянкою Роттердамом, яка створила атмосферу для неформального обміну думками та нових вражень – делегація РДГУ активно брала участь, ділилася враженнями та обговорювала, як отримані ідеї можна адаптувати в українських реаліях.
Ще один плідний день професійного зростання, міжкультурного навчання та натхнення інноваційними практиками в освіті!

The second day of the study visit to the Netherlands took place at Imelda Primary School in Rotterdam, led by Sophie Sergeant and Anna Tau.
The morning began with coffee and tea, after which participants actively joined the symposium held at Imelda Rotterdam School. The event consisted of several key stages, including an informative lecture covering current topics, as well as lively and meaningful debates during which various ideas and points of view were discussed.
After lunch together, there was a tour of the school. Two principals, Andrea Moret (Willibrordschool) and Miran Jakyrovich (Imeldaschool), presented their approaches and visions of the educational process. Representatives of Rivne State Humanitarian University actively participated in discussions, exchanged experiences, and showed interest in innovative inclusive practices in Dutch primary education.
The day ended with an independent walk around Rotterdam, which created an atmosphere for informal exchange of ideas and new impressions – the RDGU delegation actively participated, shared their impressions and discussed how the ideas gained could be adapted to Ukrainian realities.
Another fruitful day of professional growth, intercultural learning, and inspiration from innovative practices in education!

22 вересня 2025 року професорка Анна Прокоп’як та докторка Магдалена Вуйцік з Університету Марії Склодовської-Кюрі у Любліні разом з Агнешкою Пільх, президенткою Асоціації «Говори без слів» – ISAAC Poland, поділилися досвідом адаптації навчальних матеріалів для учнів із інвалідністю, зокрема для користувачів альтернативної та додаткової комунікації (AДК), з українськими партнерами проєкту.
Під час семінару учасники практикували різні методи символізації у посібниках і підручниках, добору словника, що відповідав би потребам учнів із труднощами у спілкуванні. Захід сприяв розвитку інклюзивної освіти та міжнародного співробітництва у сфері підтримки дітей із особливими освітніми потребами.

On September 22, 2025, Professor Anna Prokopiak and Dr. Magdalena Wójcik from Maria Skłodowska-Curie University in Lublin, together with Agnieszka Pilch, president of the Speak Without Words Association – ISAAC Poland, shared their valuable experience with Ukrainian partners on adapting educational materials for students with disabilities, including the users of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
During the session, participants practiced various techniques for symbolizing textbooks and selecting vocabulary tailored to the needs of learners with communication difficulties. The event promoted inclusive education and cross-border cooperation in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
